This is the GMW-B5000 Series, which includes the distinctive square design of the original DW-5000C G-Shock model from 1983 while adding a full metal finish. This model has a unique design that employs laser etching across the entire watch.
The watch has been given a full metal case by using a shock-resistant fine resin cushioning material between the case and the sturdy stainless steel metal bezel. After black IP treatment has been applied across the entire case and band, a special laser etched finish is used to create a Grid Tunnel. The concept of the 5000 Series, which has evolved over the decades since 1983 without changing its look, aligns with the Grid Tunnel image of "the flow of time from past to present" to create the watch's overall design.
Function-wise, this model comes with Bluetooth® communications and can link with a dedicated app to obtain precise time information. The watch is also packed with practical features including a time correction system that uses standard time and frequency signals (Multi-Band 6), a reliable source of power in the form of Tough Solar technology, high-luminance Full Auto LED backlighting, World Time and day of the week display in six languages.
This is a G-Shock model with a unique design that only full-metal can realize.
